HR and Payroll automation
I build connected HR and Payroll workflows in Fibery, from onboarding and employment changes to payroll calculations, payments and team costs. HR, managers and Finance share the same source data, with each calculation traceable to its inputs.
When month-end closing becomes manual reconciliation
Leave is approved in messages, overtime is tracked separately and salary changes live in spreadsheets. At month-end, HR and Finance reconcile the same information again, while managers lack a complete view of team costs. I connect these stages so every change has an employee, period, source and owner, and approved data feeds the next calculation.
What the work includes
Employee 360° and company structure
The employee record connects position, team, manager, employment terms, documents and equipment. Transfers and changes remain in linked history records. For example, a department change can feed company structure and the agreed rules for allocating employee costs.
Onboarding, changes and offboarding
I configure the employee lifecycle: offer, employment setup, onboarding, role or terms changes and offboarding. Each stage has tasks, deadlines and owners across HR, management, IT and Finance. An offboarding checklist can cover equipment returns, access review and preparation of the final calculation.
Working calendars, absences and overtime
Working schedules connect to country holidays, leave, sick days, days off and overtime. Requests follow approval routes, update balances and feed calculations under your company rules. Managers can see team absences, while HR can review balances and request history.
Payroll calculations and rules
Salary, bonuses, compensation, deductions and overtime come together in a calculation for the period. Formulas use approved absences and applicable employment terms. Tax and employment parameters are agreed with the responsible specialists, and earnings remain linked to their source records.
Review, payslips and payments
I build the workflow from draft calculation through review and approval to a payment request. Payslips show earnings and deductions; responsible people can track readiness for payment and payment status. Notifications help teams handle changes and outstanding approvals on time.
Employee cost, budgets and P&L
Earnings and additional costs connect to total employee cost. Under an agreed model, costs are allocated to teams, projects and financial responsibility centres and feed financial actuals. This supports workforce budget-versus-actual comparisons and the inclusion of personnel costs in P&L.
Roles and cascading access permissions
I define what employees, managers, HR and Finance can view, edit and approve. Cascading permissions follow relationships between records. Access to salary information and documents is checked separately against the real working scenarios for each role.
HR reporting and rollout
I configure views for headcount and company structure, absences, onboarding tasks, earnings and employee costs. Migration and rollout follow agreed stages: reconciling source records, checking calculations and permissions, and walking the team through the workflow.
Results and project boundaries
Your team gets a connected workflow: leave request → approval → balance → Payroll → payslip → payment request. Employee costs feed the financial model and management reporting. You can start with HR and absences, then add Payroll and Finance; the rollout scope is designed around your company.
In a two-year implementation for an advertising holding of approximately 150 employees, I connected HR schedules and approvals with automated Payroll and management accounting. In a meeting, I can demonstrate this approach using a separate Fibery demo model and discuss your workflows.
